Tearing across the rugged landscape came the beautifully frightening beast with swirling green eyes. She beheld a majesty the likes of which no other life had seen. Her toxic mane whipped violently from left to right as the horse maneuvered an incredibly sharp turn, making her look as though she were in an unnatural twist. An intruder had caught her ever-watchful eye, and she wasn't about to let the poor beast escape. Charging head-on with her brilliant horn, the deadly equine left a sputtering trail of foggy toxin behind. Her green eyes flashed with empowered satisfaction as she and her horn welcomed the doomed creature with a deathly embrace.
Entry for This was actually way out of my comfort zone. I love drawing things with fur, or things with hooves, but horses have never been my thing for drawing. So the is needless to say my first real horse. Ever. X) But it was damn fun! @Character-Toxic: @Art- Comments
hey,
I like the idea! The colours etc. are also good. (I can't write a critique, non member, so I'll do it this way, hope you don't mind). It's really good for a first horse, and you chose a difficult angle. Look good at it, the hooves don't really fit with the rest of the leg, and the legs are in a strange angle too. It's chest is a different angle than the rest of the horse, and the belly could be a little bit longer, than it would be good. The way you look at this horse, you shouldn't be able to see it's buttocks XD look at this pic: [link] but you are on the good way, it really looks..toxic. And no need to be told it's a horse, that's clear XD XD The tail and mane are stunning hope I helped you -- Das größte Wunderding ist doch der Mensch allein: Er kann, nachdem er's macht, Gott oder Teufel sein. omg wow! i love seeing equine art. wolves are nice, but i love horses just as much

the anatomy is a little off but it kicks arse xD -- I like poetry, long walks on the beach, & poking dead things with a stick! GO HERE, NOW! -*- For your first horse hun this is really good, I think you'd be wonderful at drawing more horses! I really love what you've done with her mane and tail and all the swirly toxic stuff around her feet

The issues I would like to point out are mostly perspective based, to be honest it appears that you tried to "fit the creature to the paper", in other words you ran out of room so tried to squeeze in the top of the head and the hooves. The horn seems slightly off center, but I think it's more an issue with the far eye which really wasn't necessary to show from that angle.
I really like the care and attention you paid to muscle tone, but I think perhaps some are over accentuated, especially the front left leg which doesn't seem to have a discernable knee. Here I found a google image that may help: [link]
Both eyes are visible, but so are both nostrils. A good rule of thumb with equines is to remember their faces are very long, and heed to a narrowing rectangle in shape.
I sincerely hope that something in this ramble helps you out, you're a wonderful budding young artist with some serious penciling skill!
